After graduating from University James began his career in Financial Services in 2008 initially advising clients in short term derivatives trading. He now predominantly advises clients on equities covering FTSE 350, small-cap and AIM. James has vast experience in advising clients on short term trading ideas along with construction of portfolios for the medium to long term for both growth and income.

James joined Optiva in 2022 as Head of Broking & Trading. He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments.
