Upland Resources Limited – Technical Evaluation CommitteeUpland Resources Limited (LSE: UPL) is pleased to announce the formation of a Technical Evaluation Committee responsible for advising the Upland Resources Board of directors on technical activities related to the Company’s assets. This underscores the Company’s commitment to effective management on workstreams such as Block SK334.
The Technical Committee’s mandate encompasses a wide range of critical functions, including, resource estimation, qualifying and advising on exploration initiatives. The committee is made up of industry experts with both international and regional experiences and company specific in-depth project knowledge of Upland Resources’ assets.

Thomas Nyanat
Formerly Chief Production Geologist and Chief Petroleum Engineer with Shell, Thomas possesses 39 years of wide ranging experiences in finding, development and production activities in Oil and Gas fields in both regional and international basins around the world. His recent role as Head of Onshore Assets, Upstream Petroleum Sarawak (PETROS), includes spearheading activities on Block SK334. His track record as an accomplished geoscientist professional includes notable projects such as the Bokor, and Betty Oil field development Offshore Baram Delta in Sarawak and the Kinabalu Oil & gas field, offshore Sabah and extensive project experience across the Scottish and Norwegian North Sea, such as the redevelopment of the Brent Field. His 7 years with Shell International in Houston, Texas as Chief Production Geologist, followed by 7 years as Chief Geologist with Petroleum Oil and Gas Corporation of South Africa (PetroSA) in Cape Town is a testimony of his well sought-after expertise in the Petroleum Industry and work in numerous Oil and Gas fields around the world.
Roberto Bencini
Roberto Bencini, an experienced geologist with past roles at Chevron and ENI – Lasmo, is an accomplished oil finder with international multidisciplinary experience and an expert in naturally fractured reservoirs. He possesses an intimate understanding of the Sarawak basin and Block SK334, with significant commercial discoveries including Petroceltic’s Ain Tsila discovery (530 million BOE recoverable reserves) and the Berkine Basin, Eastern Algeria (several fields 3 billion bbls total recoverable).
Professor Andrew Hurst
Prof. Andrew Hurst, a former geologist with Statoil, is an accomplished oil finder and currently holds the position of Chair of Petroleum Geoscience at Aberdeen University. He played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Petroleum Geoscience at the University of Brunei and is renowned for his Sand Injectites hydrocarbon discoveries, which have contributed to extensive worldwide exploration successes.
